EXCLUSIVE: Alexandra Daddario just landed the female lead opposite Dwayne Johnson on San Andreas, which New Line hopes will be its next big tentpole. In the Brad Peyton-directed film, Johnson plays a chopper pilot who sets out to rescue his estranged daughter after a massive earthquake hits California. Beau Flynn is producing and Village Roadshow Pictures is co-financing.
Watch for Daddario; she is gaining notice for her role in HBO’s True Detective and is being courted for a role in the Entourage movie at Warner Bros. Daddario, who starred in Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters, is repped by UTA and McKeon-Myones Management.

Hey, New Girl guys — have you checked out the newer girl?TVLine has learned that White Collar alum/girlfriend-of-Percy Jackson Alexandra Daddario will shake things up when she guest-stars on the Fox comedy.
Daddario will play Michelle, a — wait for it — “hot girl” who moves into the gang’s building with her roommate, and subsequently/naturally catches the attention of the fellas in the loft.

Things are moving fast for Alex DD after her memorable stint in True Detectives. Is it a new dawn for the pretty lass? Brad Peyton-directed San Andreas is the high profile one with Alex reportedly playing the daughter(!). Rock is way too young to play her dad. Requires confirmation if she's indeed the daughter or love interest. Sounds like a disaster genre flick with a modest budget and a director who is known for his family adventure movies.
New Girl stint is nothing special. Alex is an old hand at this type of guest roles.
The Entourage news is quite intriguing. What role the producers hoping Alex will say yes to? Nina Agdal is almost certainly appearing as Bridgite/Bridget - chick at the start of the movie trying to get it on with Vince. I'm guessing topless nudity here. Alex could be Melanie (Kate Upton was offered the role as well?) - Eric's fuck toy. Another speaking part is Megan, a reality star looking to break into movies. Nudity required for role of Jenni/Jennifer - Drama's new girlfriend. Also for Eric's one night stand: Paula.
