Troma is making a splash with its "Event Film" horror comedy
Return to Nuke 'Em High Volume 1. The film will be the fourth in Troma's Nuke 'Em High series. According to director Lloyd Kaufman the film is "both a hilarious gorefest as well as a socially relevant film which takes on hot button issues; bullying, the environment, and LGBT rights".
So what is an "Event Film" read below for the full story.
Quentin Tarantino has long been a fan and friend of Troma Entertainment. When he made "Kill Bill" in two volumes to create an 'Event Film,' Lloyd Kaufman took note: "Michael Herz and I decided that to mark Troma's upcoming 40th year, we, too, would produce an 'Event Film' in two volumes just like Quentin did," said Kaufman, "except slightly less lavish in the budget department."
Return to Nuke 'Em High Volume 1 will make its first theatrical appearance in NYC on January 10, 2014 at
The Village East Cinema.
