12 New Year's Resolutions Actors are Sick of Making

1. I am going to start going to more auditions.


2. I am going to lose 20 pounds (usually after binging on holiday sweets for a month).


3. I am going to write myself a web series this year! 

4. This is the year I get an agent or manager! 
 

5. Come hell or high water, I WILL book “Law and Order” this year.
 

6. I am going to get into a regular ballet class. 
 

7. I will be out of the restaurant industry by June!
 

8. I am going to start going to yoga more often. 
 

9. I am going to stop sleeping with anyone I am in a show with. 
 

10. As a matter of fact, I am going to just stop dating anyone in the industry. 
 

11. I will rework my audition songbook this year. 
 

12. I will get on that casting directors radar, for sure.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead: Poised, Powerful, Beautiful, Brave

He used the magic word "brave". Sure love that five letter word in context with a female performance. Did she or did she not? MEW has at least four films coming out this year. She's basically a secondary character in Kill the Messenger. She is the lead in Chris Messina's directorial debut and still without a title: Untitled Chris Messina Project. Looks like a light fluff with a possible MEW's first interracial romantic angle (Derek Luke?). We should hear something on Quarry this month. According to Recapped, MEW dropped out for unknown reason. She was gushing about the filming and the pilot on her twitter. Expect 'creative differences' to be roll out as an excuse. Faults is on course for a release later this year. Maybe film fests play to bolstered sales. 
[Based on the script] Set almost claustrophobic-like in one location (a motel room) for nearly 60% percent of the story, it's going to require MEW to deliver performance of her life in holding viewers attention. Oster have fine-tuned his sneaky-weasel-with-a-secret persona to perfection so I expect him to match MEW scene by scene. It would be amazing if the bottomless scene when MEW walks out of the bathroom becomes full-frontal nudity for full impact. Unfortunately, the phrase "stick to the script" doesn't apply in the reel world. Particularly if you're married to MEW.
