Synopsis : When baby Sebastian is born on 12/12/12 everyone around him starts to die. Soon, his mother realizes that her son is the spawn of Hell.



Primary Interest : Thai-American actress Sara Malakul Lane is naked for the first time on-screen (assumption based on the trailer).


The film has already stirred up some unintentional controversy in star Sara Malakul Lane’s home country of Thailand where an on-the-set photo of her in make-up to make her look pregnant was misconstrued as the real thing. Apparently, in Thailand, having a baby out of wedlock is still considered somewhat taboo, it would seem. Nudity is okay. Having a bastard a big no-no. 


29-years old Sara is quite popular in Thailand.

Sarais a model of Thai-English descent. Her father is an English businessman named Alistair Lane. Her mother, Madam Tuptim Malakul Na Ayuthaya, is related to King Rama II.

She began modeling at the age of 14, and has also been in a number of lakorn and big screen movies. She is active in the entertainment industry, but also carries the distinction of working with the UN. According to saralane.net, last year she was the MC during opening session of United Nations Day in Bangkok. Sarah revealed in an interview that the name actually worked against her when she first began modeling. Her unique features and universal appeal have launched many products including Nivea in China and Ponds in Taiwan. She has also appeared in several movies and was also voted one of Asia’s sexiest woman by FHM magazine.

Synopsis : Based on a true story, the Artist and the Mode stars Jean Rochefort, Aida Folch and Claudia Cardinale. Set in 1943 occupied France, the story tells of an ageing hedonistic painter of female nudes and his relationship with beauty and beautiful women. He finds the desire to work again and create his last masterpiece when a beautiful young Spanish girl comes knocking on his door after escaping a Nazi concentration camp. She becomes his muse and he finds the motivation to work again.
Primary Interest : 26-years old Spanish actress Aida Folch does her first real nudity (could be wrong here) and she shows all the goodies kept under wraps far too long by European standards. She chose to go full-frontal for the director who discovered and cast her in The Shanghai Spell when she was just 14.

Small Apartments

Synopsis: Franklin Franklin (Matt Lucas) is an odd duck. Apparently all alone in the world, his only known relation is an institutionalized brother (James Marsden), who sends him daily packages consisting of a cassette-tape with various odd messages and an abundance of toenail clippings. Franklin is overweight, completely hairless and lives alone in a seedy L.A. apartment, seemingly spending the vast majority of his time sitting around in only his tighty-whities while chugging two-liter jugs of Moxie soda and watching his aspiring Vegas stripper neighbor Simone (Juno Temple) through a pair of binoculars. While daydreaming of life in Switzerland, his other favorite pastime is blowing on the gigantic alphorn that takes up much of the room in his apartment, much to the dismay of his eclectic neighbors Mr. Allspice (James Caan) and Tommy Balls (Johnny Knoxville).

According to filmschoolrejects :
Lucas spends the majority of the film in a dingy pair of tighty-whities, and both Rebel Wilson and Temple get ridiculously and partially naked for no real reason. 
There is also a dream sequence involving busty trio of Chanel Ryan,Natalie Cohen and Jacqueline Guzman Cereceres as Swiss Misses. Not sure if there is any nudity from them.

“As Rose just kind of shows up and drifts in and out from time to time, as thoughts sometimes do, it was important she do so in a friendly and natural way, which Analeigh was able to achieve,” director Fairchild wrote via e-mail. “She’s a graceful kid.” 

I’m not ruling out the possibility of older gals in the cast such as Katherine LaNasa, Charlene Tilton ruining my nude fantasy. Hot 28-years old lesbo and stunt performer Nancy McCrumb AKA Danielle is also part of the cast. She going by Nancy McBradley in the movie which always raises ‘nudity alert’.

The new mini-series Vikings will be shown on History channel. They’re shooting the flick in Ireland. There could be nudity involved despite the fact it's on History. A quick glimpses of butt and breasts. An orgy scene similar to Spartacus. A casting flyer was sent out requiring around 25 to 30 actresses-extras around age of 18-50. Partial nudity is on the cards. Nothing too explicit considering its on basic cable. That court ruling against FCC is a game changer that’s for sure. 

Upcoming History Channel mini-series ‘Vikings’ has added a host of Irish actors to the cast, with Eric Higgins and Gerard McCarthy landing prominent roles in the World 2000 co-production ahead of filming next week.

Higgins will play one of Ragnor Lothbrok’s warriors called Knut, and will star in three episodes of the Michael Hirst creation. As exclusively revealed on IFTN, Australian actor Travis Fimmel will play the role of Lothbrok, who clashes with Gabriel Byrne’s character Earl Haraldson for the throne.

Higgins made his screen debut as the ‘Groom’ in Hirst’s earlier period drama ‘The Tudors’, and has had a number of theatre roles since, including ‘The Hound of Ulster’ and ‘Caligula’. The Kildare native is expected to begin shooting in the new Ballyhenry Studios in Wicklow next week.

McCarthy, best known for his role as Kris Fisher in Channel 4 soap ‘Hollyoaks’, has been cast as Brondsted. The Belfast native recently had roles in ‘Titanic: Blood and Steel’, the Ireland-shot miniseries starring Chris Noth (The Good Wife) and Neve Campbell (Scream), and BBC drama ‘The Fall’, which recently wrapped filming in Northern Ireland. McCarthy said he “can’t wait to start working” on the period drama.

Other Irish actors cast in supporting roles in ‘Vikings’ include Amy De Bhrun (The Crown and the Dragon) and Bill Gibson (The Clinic), whose characters are yet to be confirmed. 

They join ‘Glee’ actress Jessalyn Gilsig, who will play Earl Haraldson’s wife, Gustaf Skarsgard, who will play a close of associate of Fimmel’s character Lothbrok, Clive Standen, who will play a cousin of Lothbrok, Katheryn Winnick, who will play Lothbrok’s wife, and George Blagden, who will take on the role of Athelstan.

Morgan O’Sullivan will produce for World 2000 with Take 5 Productions in Canada. Johan Renck will direct three episodes, with ‘The Tudors’ director Ciarán Donnelly also in line to direct three episodes of the HBO series. The History Channel will air ‘Vikings’ worldwide in 2013, in what will be the broadcaster’s first ever scripted series.

VIKINGS will be a series high on adventure, exploration, conflict, warfare and bloodshed – for these were extreme times – but, at its heart, it will also be a family saga. It follows the adventures of Ragnar Lothbrok, a historical figure, and the greatest hero of his age – and the gripping sagas of Ragnar’s band of Viking brothers and his family – as he rises to become King of the Viking tribes. 

Ragnar Lothbrok (Fimmel) is based upon the real-life Viking leader who literally exploded out of Scandanavia and onto the world stage in the 8th Century. A young Norwegian farmer with a wife and family, Ragnar is deeply frustrated by the unadventurous policies of his local chieftan, Earl Haraldson (Byrne), who continues to send his Vikings raiders east every summer, to the Baltic states and Russia, whose populations are as materially poor as themselves. Lagertha (Winnick) is the first wife of Ragnar’s and their marriage is a love-match. Ragnar was first attracted to Lagertha when she came to fight for a local Norwegian ruler against an invading Sweden. Floki (Skarsgard), based partly on the Norse god Loki, is an impish character and ship builder who designs and builds the prototype of the new generation of Viking ships which can sail across the open ocean but also up the shallowest of rivers. He is a design genius and he allows Ragnar to fulfill his dreams of sailing west and discovering new lands and new civilizations. Siggy (Gilsig) is Earl Haraldson's beautiful wife and an enigmatic character. She performs her duties impeccably and with style, but she may not be completely loyal to her husband. Rollo (Standen) is Ragnar’s cousin and initially one of his closest friends, involved in his early raids. But soon becomes jealous of his fame and success.

Great cock-stimulating news involving two of the most gorgeous teen actresses in Europe.

18-years old Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) and 18-years old Ivana Baquero (of Pan's Labyrinth fame) is on high-list (80% certainty) of doing their first nude scenes in upcoming thriller Panda Eyes (2013) written and directed by Isabel Coixet. Panda Eyes is adapted from Cathy MacPhail’s young adult’s novel ANOTHER ME. But Isabel plans to divert about 180 in terms of the approach. The plot will be basically intact yet Isabel will stamp her own mark by enhancing it with teen sexual angst. We have to wait and see how far she will push the material into risque territory. The character Ivana is playing Monica - a “popular and poisonous” girl who attends school with Fay (Sophie’s character) and serves as an antagonist. Filming is currently underway in Wales.

A role to die for

Barely known in her native Australia, Yvonne Strahovski has landed a role on Dexter.

Australian actress Yvonne Strahovski was 23, with just a few local credits to her name, when she landed the role of Sarah Walker on Chuck. That show ran for five seasons and now she's landed a role in the latest season of Dexter, playing Hannah McKay, a woman with a dark past.
A homicide investigation brings her to the attention of the Miami police department and crime-scene investigator Dexter (Michael C. Hall). It transpires that Dex is somewhat smitten with Hannah.
''There may or may not be an attraction there between them,'' Strahovski says coyly. ''There's a lot of juicy secrets that she has in her past that will come to life quite quickly. The audience will be satisfied very quickly [with] where my character comes from and where she fits in the world of Dexter. And they will be doing something on the show this season that's never been done before.''
Strahovski was offered the role of Hannah without auditioning and says she was flattered when the producers called her. She had been only a casual viewer of the show, so she says she had to watch all six seasons in three weeks to catch up.
On set, she quickly stopped feeling like the new kid on the block. ''Everybody was so welcoming,'' she says. ''I've spent the majority of my time with Michael, who is extremely generous, very much an actor's actor and so easy to work with. He's amazing to watch and observe.''
Strahovski has been busy since Chuck ended. Earlier this year, she shot a movie in Australia called I, Frankenstein with Bill Nighy and Aaron Eckhart, which she calls more of a thriller than horror film.
She will also soon be seen in the movie The Guilt Trip, which stars Barbra Streisand as Seth Rogen's overbearing mother. Strahovski plays the high-school girlfriend of Rogen's character. ''It was great watching Barbra and Seth together,'' she says. ''They are just such pros.''
Strahovski, who never used her return ticket to Australia after she flew to Los Angeles to audition for Chuck, hopes Dexter will offer her a chance to delve into characters she hasn't played before. And for now, Los Angeles is her home.
''I enjoy living in LA,'' she says. ''This is where the work is - or, at least, generated from, because you fly off and do movies. ''It's sort of a great way to see the world.''
Born in Sydney, Strahovski is the daughter of Polish immigrants. The original spelling of her surname was Strzechowski but she changed it when she landed the role on Chuck ''so the spelling would be a little bit easier. Otherwise it makes no sense to someone who doesn't speak Polish.''
When it's pointed out to her that she could have become Yvonne Jones, she says:
''I wanted to honour my heritage and where I came from and keep the name. It was a tough decision to even change the spelling of it phonetically. I wanted to keep it as close to the original as it can be.''
Considering she has been in Hollywood for more than five years, Strahovski has kept a remarkably low profile in a town that thrives on gossip.
''I try to keep my private life private and the acting stuff separate,'' she says firmly.

Now Rosanna to get naked for Hugh Hefner as she considers move stateside
Rosanna Davison has received a personal invite from Playboy boss Hugh Hefner to meet at the famed Mansion -- and to appear in a spread for the US edition of the magazine.

In what is her major break into the United States, the model will become the first Miss World to grace the pages of the famed American magazine.

She will join the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Pamela Anderson and Bo Derek -- who have previously bared all for the iconic magazine, which boasts over seven million subscribers.

The pictures will appear in the April edition.

The news comes as the model told the Sunday Independent she hasn't ruled out the possibility of moving to America to pursue her blossoming career.

Speaking from Frankfurt in Germany this weekend, where she was celebrating the news, she said: "I still can't quite believe it.

"Playboy Germany were so happy with their European sales that Hugh Hefner got in touch and asked to meet me and to see whether I wanted to feature in the US magazine.

"He said he loved the idea of having the first Miss World to pose for Playboy in his American edition."

Davison will only be the second woman from the German magazine to feature in the American edition -- in a world where it notoriously difficult for models to make the leap into the US market.

On her meeting with the Playboy czar, who first began building his empire over 57 years ago, she said: "It will be great to shake hands with the man himself.

"I will hopefully get to have a peek around the Mansion and to check out the grotto, of course."

The beauty queen is also planning several chat-show appearances on US television and a fly-on-the-wall documentary to coincide with the photo shoot.

"There's a lot being planned, including filming, plenty of photographs, and my management is working on booking me on to some of the major chat shows, which would be amazing," she said.

"I'm not afraid to work really hard and explore every possible avenue. 2013 looks like it will be a busy year, but that's exactly how I like it.

"It's a much bigger market and the highest level you can reach, but now that I've done it once, I'll probably feel much more confident about it. The US edition is the main Playboy, so that's where the focus is, and of course it has a long history."

The Enniskerry native also said she could make the big move to the US permanently if things go to plan: "You never know," she said. "I would always consider the possibility, and I plan to spend some time there next year anyway. I might never want to come home."

Speaking about the reaction of her long-term boyfriend Wes Quirke -- and her family's response -- she said: "Wes was the first person to hear the news and he was thrilled for me.

"I then rang my parent's house immediately and spoke to my dad. He was delighted too and recognises how lucky I am to have been given this opportunity.

"My schedule is pretty packed up until Christmas with work, travel and my studies, but I definitely plan to take some time off over the festive season, to relax with my family and celebrate."

Gore-geous Ladies of Horror: The Femme Fatales of Titillation and Exploitation

They are The Gore-geous Ladies of Horror. They are either the pursued, or the pursue-e. They are the helpless damsels in distress that need rescuing from a tall and handsome hero. They are the strong, leather clad pistol packin' mamas. They are the heroines and villainesses of horror and fantastic cinema. Ever since the 80s, genre fans just called'em Scream Queens. 

This article (a lead-in to a regular column) is a piece on some of my favorite Femme Fatales. It also includes some very important women in film who may have done other things outside the Cinema-fantastic realm, but tend to be remembered for their roles in horror or science fiction movies above all else. Some of the images seen here are scanned from old magazines and others are from google. And yes, there is nudity about.


Fay Wray did a string of horror talkies in the 1930s. She is unanimously cited as the first actress to be labeled a 'Scream Queen' even though the terminology was decades away from prominence. Since strong women roles were still a few decades away as well, the stereotypical "rescue me" archetype was the embodiment of the female form in movies at the time; which also extended to the advertising campaigns of these productions.

The late actress got the ball rolling for horrors feminine future with such oldies but goodies like the pseudo horrors of DOCTOR X and THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME (both 1932). She re-teamed with X's Lionel Atwill for a double dose of terror with MYSTERY IN THE WAX MUSEUM and THE VAMPIRE BAT (both 1933), but it was KING KONG (1933) where she really put her pipes to good use shrieking in fear from the 8th Wonder of the World.


 
Unusual for actresses that starred in these kinds of movies, Fay Wray's career wasn't stunted by her participation in them, nor was she typecast. Still, her films such as THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME and particularly KING KONG were classy affairs and have went on to a status well beyond a mere cult of followers.



Since then, there have been other actresses like Mara Corday who have appeared in various 'B' science fiction and horror pictures. Speaking of Corday, she was as curvaceous as they come and her three genre outings are among the best, and best of the worst 50s science fiction. 

Bert I. Gordon often catches a lot of hell for his macro enlarged killer kritters, but the same effects technique is utilized in Jack Arnold's TARANTULA (1955); wherein Corday is among a cast menaced by an outsized arachnid created by Leo G. Carroll. Dirty Harry Callahan had an early gig as an Air Force pilot napalming the hell out of the title hairy beast during the fiery finale.

Corday again was menaced by gigantic scorpions and other creepy crawlies in the action packed THE BLACK SCORPION and an enormous interplanetary turkey surrounded by a force field in THE GIANT CLAW (both from 1957). She abandoned the genre after this and segued into television till Dirty Harry himself, Clint Eastwood gave her roles in some of his movies.



Allison Hayes had multiple 'B' pictures on her resume, but she will forever be famously associated with but a single one of them, that being ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN (1958). It was one of the more unique 50s kitsch classics in its tale of an abused housewife who grows to giant size after being exposed to an equally gigantic alien from outer space. Ultimately, she goes all Godzilla on her hometown in search of her cheating husband.

It would be a cardinal sin to not include Barbara Steele on any list of the greatest, and or most memorable Scream Queens. The entrancing British actress virtually cornered the market in the 1960s via an impressive stream of European made horror pictures of the Gothic variety. With her connections via AIP (who released her star vehicle BLACK SUNDAY in America), Steele had an open line to appear in one of Roger Corman's classic interpretations of Edgar Allan Poe pictures; in this case, the film was THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM from 1961.

Some of Steele's best include Mario Bava's BLACK SUNDAY (1960), CASTLE OF BLOOD (1964) and THE LONG HAIR OF DEATH (1964).



Hammer Films out of Britain not only helped reinvigorate Gothic horror, but also made women dressed in diaphanous gowns exploitation chic in countless productions. The company knew how to market their movies and peddle the flesh onscreen with the right amount of curvaceousness. Hammer's horror heroines and villainesses are too many to mention here, but among the most recognized and popular with fans (and myself) is Caroline Munro.

Munro is unique in the Hammer horror canon in that she never shed her clothes in any of her roles for the company. The closest she got was a darkly lit naked tease in the anemic CAPTAIN KRONOS, VAMPIRE HUNTER (1972). There's nothing at all wrong with seeing some bare flesh onscreen. I can't tell you how many times I wished Kate O'Mara's top would miraculously disappear at some point in HORROR OF FRANKENSTEIN (1970), but for Munro to have never stripped and yet still maintain a strong, long lasting fan base is a feat in itself. In fact, many of Hammer's girls didn't strip, but had far more meatier roles than Munro had.


Another reason I cite Munro is that she ultimately shredded the persona of the 'damsel in distress' with the heaving, sweaty, barely concealed bosom from such pictures as THE GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD (1974) and AT THE EARTH'S CORE (1976). She passed on VAMPIRELLA because of the required nudity, but embraced the lively, if hilarious chintzy STAR CRASH (1978). Here, Munro was a super heroine that kicked ass and also wore skimpy clothes (for the first half of the film, anyways) that stirred unusual feelings in little boys everywhere. She also menaced James Bond as a Bad Bond Girl in THE SPY WHO LOVED ME (1977).



Hammer Films were probably the ultimate showcase for voluptuous and bosomy actresses seeking fame on the big screen, even if it were relatively brief in many cases. Ingrid Pitt is a good example of this. In her heyday, she was only in four horror pictures within a three year period, yet she is one of the best remembered, and best loved leading ladies in all of horror cinema.

The striking Polish beauty had a seductively alluring voice that accentuated her fine frame. She headlined the first of Hammer's lesbian vampire trilogy, THE VAMPIRE LOVERS (1970), co-starred in the blackly comical segment of the superlative anthology picture THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD (1971) and took the lead in the ponderous, infrequently interesting COUNTESS DRACULA (1971). In 1973, Pitt was among the cast of a true classic of British horror, the original THE WICKER MAN starring Christopher Lee. 


It wasn't until HALLOWEEN (1978) that the Scream Queen terminology began gestating. Jamie Lee Curtis was well on her way to becoming the then reigning Queen of Scream successfully supplanting Barbara Steele with a string of horror lead roles. The daughter of Janet Leigh (the famed shower victim from PSYCHO [1960]) had become horror's darling literally overnight after playing the terrorized babysitter, Laurie Strode. Carpenter's classic led to lead roles in the mediocre PROM NIGHT (1979), the creep-tastic THE FOG (1979) and TERROR TRAIN (1980), a typical slasher boasting an interesting concept.

Up to this point, the role of a healthy lunged heroine was generally virginal, quiet, learned, respectful, educated, or possessed a position of some repute. Having sex was often the death knell for the disposable cast members in horror movies; especially slasher pictures, but not always. From here on out, an actress bearing the moniker of a 'Scream Queen' didn't necessarily have to survive the end credit crawl and many of them mostly played supporting roles, or had cameos. 

Getting naked was also an even bigger prerequisite than it had been the decade prior. The 'Have Sex and Die' aesthetic reached puberty in the 1970s, turning into a raging horn-dog in the 1980s; and, with the rise in evangelical propaganda equating free-spirited, lascivious activities with eternal damnation, baring more than one's soul meant you may as well have been wearing a red shirt on STAR TREK.

During this time, the torch was passed on to a young lady who was arguably the most famous of the 80s screamers, Linnea Quigley. Rarely ever a lead, Quigley was predominantly a victim, or sexy seductress. She's possibly the only actress who could make dialog about dying and being eaten alive an invitingly sexual prospect. The dialog in question being from her bra busting portrayal as Trash from the major 80s horror classic THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD (1985). Quigley further solidified her willingness to lay bare her flesh when she strips away her remaining bits of clothing for a 'Dead Dance' atop a tomb much to the delight of young boys everywhere.

Quigley had a startlingly lengthy, and varied career in both good and crappy movies. She was also a surprisingly good actress; more so than you would expect from somebody who featured in movies with titles like CREEPOZOIDS (1987), HOLLYWOOD CHAINSAW HOOKERS (1988), SORORITY BABES IN THE SLIMEBALL BOWL-A-RAMA (1988) and ASSAULT OF THE PARTY NERDS (1989).

She started out doing some softcore erotica and even appeared in some scenes for PSYCHO FROM TEXAS (1980). She was famously impaled on some deer antlers in SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT (1984), but it was her role as Linda Blair's mute sister in SAVAGE STREETS (1984) that really showed she could do more than amp up a films cheesecake quota.


She also had an incredibly loyal fanbase that exists to this day. There were other big name Scream Queens at this time like Michelle Bauer and Brinke Stevens, but Linnea Quigley had a special place in the hearts of hundreds of horror fans around the world. 


But whereas Jamie Lee kept her clothes on in her horror movies, Quigley and the many other femme fatales that followed laid the template by which so many exploitation pictures would study from. The Scream Queen soon morphed into a new breed of vocally strong femininity. They not only had a good pair of...vocal chords, but they also packed big guns, too. The voluptuous, sexually dominating schism of the Russ Meyer smut fests was married to the tongue in cheek Andy Sidaris' 'Sexy Girls and Guns' movies. This was a sub genre that proliferated and blossomed overseas in a steady stream of Hong Kong actioners throughout the late 1980s and into the 1990s.

Directors like David DeCoteau, Fred Olen Ray and Jim Wynorski explored the empowered Scream Queen as machine gun (or chainsaw) toting dominatrix in a steady stream of action-horror-fantasy non epics that were heavy on the skin, but light on plot and common sense.

Linda Blair came the closest to assuming the throne vacated by Jamie Lee Curtis, but Blair mixed it up a bit by shedding her clothes on several occasions in a healthy string of ultra violent revenge thrillers, trashy comedies and erotic-horror pictures. Blair burst onto the scream scene with her controversial classic THE EXORCIST in 1973, but it wasn't till she was all grown up and filled out that she really turned on the charm and turned on the male viewer during the 1980s. 

Blair bounced her way from a morbid mansion to dark, underground creepy caverns in the haunted house slasher classic HELL NIGHT (1981). In this film, she was the epitome of the resourceful Scream Queen. She was classy, didn't shed her clothes and could fix the perennial horror favorite--the car that won't crank!

Blair put on some pounds and was unfairly chastised in the mid 1980s. She was never fat (at least not to these eyes), she was just curvacious where it counted. She was the star of such notable trash like CHAINED HEAT (1983) and also in the excellent, ultra violent Lady DEATH WISH flick SAVAGE STREETS (1984).


The Empress of the stacked and ready to attack brand of fighting female would have to be Sybil Danning. She did relatively few horror movies (1976s JULIE DARLING and 1985s HOWLING 2 being two examples), but had no compunction about appearing in trash of the action or fantasy variety. 

Thriller Video gave the bosomy Danning her own video series called Sybil Danning's Adventure Video. The same company also did the same for Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.

Elvira isn't so much a Scream Queen as she is a horror show host, but she's an important cog in the vast horror machine. Her many sexual innuendos and comedic timing made viewing insurmountably awful movies worth sitting through on her immensely popular Movie Macabre nationally syndicated program. She was such an 80s staple, she even got two movies built specifically around her persona. A few years ago she was part of a reality show to crown a new Queen of Horror Hostess, but bad habits die hard and Cassandra Peterson is still enjoying being the bubbly vamp, Elvira.


Ladies like Tiffany Shepis and Danielle Harris are arguably amongst the best of the new bunch of horror heroines. They are of a relatively small number with the sort of signature personality that allows them to stand out from the pack. Shepis is easily the Linnea Quigley of the new millennium and Harris, having been onscreen in TV and movies since childhood, is actually a pretty decent actress in her own right.

Today, there are dozens of women in horror and actresses who do mostly work in the genre, but there's such a proliferation of them, the Scream Queen terminology doesn't quite have the same resonance it had in the 1980s. With so many, the market has gotten so saturated with lovely ladies and their slinky, well endowed figures, it's even more difficult to stand out now than before. But depending on what fans take from this surge in scantily clad, sexy sirens, this can either be a bane, or, in the likelier case, a blessing!

Eyes right! Army wives stage charge of the lightly dressed brigade... but could fundraising calendar girls be getting over-exposed?

There are many ways to show support for the heroism and sacrifices of Britain's Armed Forces – but this has to be one of the most audacious.
These military wives have chosen to honour their husbands by posing for a series of provocative pictures with little more than a small item of uniform to protect their modesty.
The self-styled Garrison Girls, married to men serving in all three services, have posed for a new nude calendar, all in aid of treating post-traumatic stress for those who have served on the front line.

The women have never modelled before but are pictured exposing their breasts, bottoms and thighs – and in one case, a pregnant wife poses with her husband's Army helmet tenderly placed on her baby bump, in an echo of Demi Moore's famous 1991 Vanity Fair cover.
The women's faces are deliberately hidden so they represent 'all Forces wives', according to calendar organiser Sarah Bennett Thurston.
Mrs Thurston, 35, whose husband Paul is in the Royal Signals, admits she was inspired by the original Calendar Girls of the Rylstone Women's Institute.
'I wanted to do something positive,' she said. 'It all started when I watched a nude photoshoot on a BBC programme about empowering women, and shortly afterwards I had to explain to my children  why my friend's husband wasn't coming home.

'It is very hard being a military wife and I wanted to do something to empower the girls. This shows them as they really are, with cellulite and stretch marks, but they all look gorgeous.
'We have deliberately left out the girls' faces to show they represent all military wives and we are all in this together.
'It is about our commitment to the Forces, not about individual women getting their kit off.'
Miss August is a blonde woman kneeling down wearing a sailor's hat and provocatively revealing her bottom, while Miss February is perched on a table in a fetal position.

For November, a woman poses in profile with her left breast bared and a red Royal Military Police hat placed carefully on her lap, while January's model simply reveals her exposed buttocks, topped by an RAF hat.
Lorna Rogers, from Wigan, posed as Miss March when she was five months pregnant with her second child, Austin, who is now a week old.
The 20-year-old, whose husband Adam is a sapper in the Royal Engineers, said: 'Military life is very hard and being pregnant you feel very vulnerable knowing that your husband could be due to go away on tour next. I wanted to show support by doing the shoot.
'I was honoured to be asked but nervous at the same time, but the other wives made me feel very comfortable. My husband was chuffed and very proud. He loves the final photo.

'Adam and I were high-school sweethearts and I was nervous when he said he was joining the Army but I knew it was something he wanted to do. It's hard being away from family, but you make great friends.'
The other women who have taken part in the calendar, ranging in age from 19 to 40, want to remain anonymous. Their husbands include bomb disposal experts in the Royal Engineers, communications experts in the Royal Signals and sailors aboard HMS Sutherland.
Mrs Thurston added: 'Some of the girls did the calendar shoot while their husbands were away in Afghanistan and it was their way of doing something to support them.

'One of the women got her calendar picture sent to her early as her husband came home on leave and we wanted him to approve it too.
'Another woman has remained in England with her two children while her husband is posted in Germany for two years. It is incredibly hard for them and this was her way of giving something back.'
