US Gymnast McKayla Maroney Falls On Vault Loses Gold Medal

Maroney did not produce the best performance during the women's vault final at the London Olympics on Sunday. After posting the highest vault score during qualifying (by nearly half a point) and executing a breathtaking vault during the team finals, Maroney delivered a lackluster performance by her incredibly high standards. Of course, that was still good for the silver medal behind Sandra Raluca Izbasa of Romania.
After an impressive Amanar vault on her first attempt, the reigning world champion failed to stick the landing on her second attempt, falling down into a sitting position. Izbasa capitalized on the mistake, leaving the 16-year-old from California to settle for the silver medal.

With his momentous gold medal winning performance today in the 100-meter, Usain Bolt indeed proved his naysayers wrong by overcoming on-the-rise fellow Jamaican Yohan Blake.  However, great power clearly comes with great responsibility, as Bolt's personal life is now being brought back into the news forefront. 
It was previously reported that the 25 year-old sprinter had dumped then girlfriend Lubica Slovak this past May in order to better concentrate on the 2012 London Games.

To add insult to past relationship injury, the star indirectly declared today that he is once again back on the female prowl;  which by his own admission, seems to include a desired tryst with British pop and R-and-B singer Cheryl Cole.
According to the Daily Star, Bolt had the following to say before his meet, in regards to the "Girls Aloud" beauty:
"If Cheryl wants to come and watch me in the final I might even take her out for dinner afterwards. Then after dinner we can go and party with Prince Harry," Bolt explained.
"London has some really beautiful women, I can't help but notice them.  Cheryl Cole is always in the media and I can see why. She is so beautiful," Bolt continued.
Bolt also managed to touch on his taste for the infamous Rihanna.
"I think for me it is between her [Cheryl Cole] and Rihanna for the most beautiful woman in the world," Bolt also debated to the U.K. news site.
Funny enough, US track and field standout and self-proclaimed virgin Lolo Jones had tweeted the following message during the time period around Bolt's breakup:
"USAIN IS THIS TRUE?!  havn't heard from ya since our date. Was wondering."

Olympic village host to 'huge sex party'

Athletes have turned the Olympic village into a sex party hub for week two of the Games.
Sports persons are letting off steam with saucy sessions in their private rooms and wild parties.
After years of training for sporting perfection, the elite athletes have been partying like revellers on a beach holiday.
But they ensure that “what goes on in the village stays in the village.”
“At night the bar is pretty buzzing already. I’m not sure how it’s going to cope when we all finish,” the Daily Star quoted Harry Martin, Team GB hockey player as saying.
And South African 100m freestyle swimmer Leith Shankland, 21, said that everyone is having a great time.
“Everyone is going out with everyone and having a good time. We haven’t been allowed to go out for two months, so it’s a great release. For me it’s one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life,” Shankland said.
Before the games American swimming ace Ryan Lochte, 28, had revealed that three-quarters of Olympians get steamy between the sheets after their competition finishes.
