She became a household name when she played troubled Effy Stonem on Channel 4 series, Skins, but Kaya Scodelario has hit the big time with a lead role in new movie, The Truth About Emanuel.

The pretty star made sure that all eyes were on her as she walked the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiére of the movie in a plunging dress which showed off her cleavage.

She posed alongside Hollywood star Jessica Biel, who plays her mother in the film, but made sure she grabbed a share of the limelight in her daring number.

The 21-year-old's dress was black and white and she teamed it with black platform heels which showed off a tattoo she had on her foot.

She wore a gold swallow pendant and styled her hair in curls. Kaya illuminated her face with a slick of bright red lipstick.

Jessica however, played it safe in a black crop top with a high-waisted full lace skirt, which left just a sliver of her flat stomach on display.

Kaya seems eager for the movie, produced by Rooney Mara, to be well received and recently took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support.

She wrote: '#TheTruthAboutEmanuel,is now available on @iTunesMovies! @EMANUELmovie check it out if u like'
And 'Big massive bundles of love to everyone watching #TheTruthAboutEmanuel on @iTunesMovies! thank u thank u thank u.'

It's not the first movie role Kaya has enjoyed. She appeared in the 2011 movie, Wuthering Heights as well as the remake of Clash Of The Titans and Now Is Good with Dakota Fanning.

Many of the Skins alumni have hit the big time and Kaya told The Telegraph:

'There were all sorts of people within the industry who felt that all of us in Skins wouldn’t be able to escape [our characters].
'But then I saw Nicholas [Hoult] and Dev [Patel] go on and be really successful and thought maybe I could do that as well.’

* Please stay in L.A, Kaya. You belong in La La Land. It's sad she turned down some flicks because they require nudity. Many of the scripts that comes her away are first-rejects which means an A-lister and top B-listers decline the offer unless changes were made. There is no doubting in her talent to hold a scene purely with her bewitching eyes. She is keeping her fingers crossed for rebooting of Lara Croft franchise. Financially rewarding and with studio folks reportedly earmarked Kaya as first choice, the Brit will be settled for life and also career-wise if the series takes off. She can choose the flicks she wants to be part of instead of worrying about the content, nudity and other aspects that becomes more and more unavoidable as she grows older without making a mark in the biz. That's why Hayley Titwell jumped on the superhero bandwagon as well around the same time. It would be harder for the Anglo-American considering her age. But like any other actress of her peers and age, Kaya needs to learn the art of give-and-take if she wants to be truly successful in the States instead of becoming one of those British actors who shuffled back and forth  across the pond for minor assignments.
