Of course you shouldn't believe anything on the internet, but the bit about handcuffs could be true based on the clips we've seen with Woody having his hand in the air weirdly. Some critics have seen at least the first episodes. Anyway not long to wait now.

Very good news on the Alexandra Daddario front! She does indeed go topless (and more) in True Detective.
The shots from the trailers don’t lie, she doffs her top in Episode 2 of the series after handcuffing Woody Harrelson to a bed… but it gets better. She then gets up off the bed, turns around and bends over as she takes off her bottoms showing a great shot of her butt and very brief/dark full frontal as she turns back around. A front runner for nude scene of 2014 already. They’re real and they’re spectacular. Michelle Monaghan shows breasts during a sex scene with Harrelson in Episode 3.

I knew Cary handsome mug will extract a full-frontal from Alex. Judging from Alex interview above, she wasn't that happy working on Percy Jackson and all the green screen. So when opportunity came along to go edgy in a top show and with top notch actor, Alex didn't hesitate. Stars of yesteryear usually go topless where they are the co-lead even if it was a crappy B-flick. They want to fully showcase 'all' their talents. Nowadays premium cable is the place where nudity dodgers ends up naked. I feel Alex nude show will rank alongside Laura Prepon's showstopper in dismal Lay The Favorite. Fans are happy but at same time wondering why she doffed her top in a guest role when she had other opportunities to do so. Most notably in popular franchise Texas Chainsaw 3D, defied the 'final girl' convention and displayed her tits briefly. Instead it's Woody who gets lucky. Alex have been typecast for some time in young doe-eyed girl falling for/flirting/f*cking a much older guy with often sad/tragic consequences. The only difference here in TD is that her Lisa character is supposed to be sexy, bitchy and ultimately lands herself in deep sh*t.

MK via Recapped:Small update: I only skimmed the episode for nudity earlier. Alexandra Daddario has another nude scene a few minutes later in Episode 2. She’s bottomless after banging Woody – Great view of her butt as she straddles him and full bush as she gets off (likely a merkin). She then bends over to grab something offering up a full moon before Woody starts eating her out from behind and it cuts. Not too long, but really good views. No way in hell is it a body double. One continuous shot with face, breasts, and butt in the same frame. You see her boobs seconds after the shot from the trailers cuts away.
